Mushroom 🍄
"These northern belle had a mushroom flavor to me. . . like the meatiness of a shiitake or something. Very savory. I liked them"
Your oysters keep in the refrigerator for 5-7 days! You can order a day or two early to make sure you have them in time for your gathering. They are totally fine hangin’ out in the cool air.
When you receive your package, pull them out of the box (these guys need a little fresh air!). Grab a mixing bowl and throw the mesh bag in the bowl so that the oysters don’t leak all over your refrigerator. Grab a damp cloth and throw the cloth over the bowl. You are good to go for the next 5-7 days. Doesn’t hurt to dampen the cloth each day to keep them moist and chilled.
Only put the oysters on ice before service. The oysters will actually die in the melted fresh water so do not store the oysters on ice. They will not like this.
We ship using FedEx Overnight service. You will receive tracking info after the label has been printed the day before your oysters are set to arrive. We do not require a signature – Fedex will leave your package at your doorstep.

Northern Belle Oysters from Prince Edward Island are known for their deep cups, perfect size, and delicious flavor. Customers appreciate the clean, solid shells and the fresh burst of ocean saltiness followed by a savory umami. These oysters are grown in the cold waters of North Lake, which contributes to their strong shells and unique taste.

"Great North Atlantic oysters from PEI. Briny. Fresh. Tastes like the ocean in the best possible way. 99 out of 100 in perfect shape. I found these easy to shuck. Shell a little fragile, but no problem once I got the hang of it."
"Lovely oysters, delicious and easy to pop open!"
"The flavor, the sweetness, the taste of the ocean, the size, the ease in opening. I cannot say enough positive things about these oysters! They were so great I am placing another order right away!"
"Oysters from Canada always one of the best!"
"Salty, easy to open. I would get them again!"
"Shells are relatively clean and quite easy to shuck without breaking. The overall size is right at that 2. 5" Very salty up front, really lovely flavors at the end, umami & sea water, a lovely combination. I wouldn't call them plump, but this makes for a very approachable oyster for the unaccustomed oyster eater. These are dainty, elegant, and delicious. If you're after a plump, substantial oyster, these might not be the best bet."
"Ordered the Northern Belle Oysters as a new addition to our traditional Christmas eve dinner. They arrived perfectly packed and were amazing. They will probably become an every year part of our dinner."
"Have bought from Island Creek many times but never again, Got notice that "i left stuff in my cart" so rushed to order again as thought didnt go thru, but it did and sent 2 orders to my customer. Costly and embarrassing. . . . . ."
"Small briny taste like the sea! Amazing"
