How Ninigret Nectar Taste: Ninigret Pond is connected via a breachway so the flow inside the pond is limited, taking several days for a full turnover of ocean water, which translates to a lower salinity. Super buttery meat that is as sweet as a turnip or Japanese yam - think earthy, root vegetable-y goodness. Do as Matt does and eat them, “straight up, no training wheels.”
How Sea Kist Taste: These aren't your ordinary Rhode Island oysters. A strong saltiness up front is followed by an unmistakable bread and butter richness that fades into a delicate, sweet finish.

"The flavors of the two were wonderful the one variety was buttery, the other was more briny. The one variety was flatter in shape and easier to shuck. Both were of excellent size. Excellent value. I have tried the other side by side rivalry and was very pleased with each rivalry. No one was better than the other, just different."
"The Sea Kist had excellent flavors and a meaty texture. Flat in shape buy a firm shell. The Ninigret Nectors were just too small, almost immature looking. Very little meat in the overly brittle, flaky shells to get a sense of their flavor, apart from the upfront brine. The photo shows the Sea Kist in the center with the Ninigrets around the edges."
