Why it’s unique: In an effort to stand out on shelves and differentiate themselves from other brands, Adriano and Luís collaborated with twelve of Portugal’s most well-known children’s illustrators to create the packaging, making the tins both recognizable to local, and captivating to tinned fish newbies. They’ve even worked with a renowned Portuguese chef to create a set of recipes for both adults and children to go with the tins.
Ingredients: Sardines, Extra Virgin Olive Oil, pickles, cloves, carrots and pepper, piri-piri and bay leaf.
How it tastes: The EVOO gives a flowery bouquet up front, with a nice little kick of spice on the finish.
How to use it: These have such a delicious flavor, we’d put them on top of some crusty bread with tomatoes, red onion and lots of garlic for a twist on bruschetta.
