Three Dozen Oysters
Some people bring a nice bottle of wine to dinner parties. Yawn. Some people bring flowers. Nice for Auntie Sue, but, seriously? When we're guests in someone's home we always bring a bag of oysters... and we're always invited back.
We call them cocktail oysters because they’re easy to shuck and look stunning on the half shell. They’ll arrive with some simple shucking instructions (you can also get a lesson from Island Creek Oyster Bar chef Jeremy Sewall and Breville). We just ask that you keep 'em cool and covered with a damp cloth in the fridge where they'll last up to two weeks. Use them when you need to make an impression!
